Brian Daboll to Return to Buffalo as OC in 2021!

At the start of the 2020 season nobody knew how this Buffalo offense would turn out and how much of a key factor Brian Daboll would be in Josh Allen’s improvement this season.

As the season progressed on, Josh Allen had shown a huge improvement from last season and while most people would put that all on the acquisition of Stefon Diggs, a huge chunk of it comes from having a 3rd year to work with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and becoming closer with each other and establishing a better relationship with each other.

As the 2020 season came to a close and the Buffalo Bills looked forward towards the playoffs, head coaching vacancies started to open up and Brian Daboll became a popular candidate with the Los Angeles Chargers, the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. As the Bills moved on after winning the Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts, the NY Jets coaching vacancy was filed by Robert Saleh the former defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers, that left just two openings with Daboll becoming popular option.

Just before Buffalo’s Divisional round match-up against the Baltimore Ravens, Brian Daboll had an interview with the Los Angeles and was set as the favorite to land the head coaching job once the Buffalo Bills season ended. On Sunday, the day after Buffalo defeated Baltimore, it was announced that the Chargers had hired Rams former defense coordinator Brandon Staley to be their next head coach and then it was rumored for Daboll to be next in line for the Eagles head coaching job.

As Monday rolled around, Brian Daboll had publicly announced that he has no intentions on taking the Philadelphia Eagles head coaching job and that he plans on returning to Buffalo as the offensive coordinator for the 2021 NFL season.
